Choose the right glasses for your face shape

How to choose the right glasses
If you have worn glasses for most of your life, the chances are you have gone through loads of different styles of frames, different colours, different shapes etc. However if you are fairly new to having glasses, or you just fancy a change, it can be difficult to know what shapes would suit your face best.
Round face: A round face is characterised by having a short forehead and the temple is often the same width as the jaw.
Those with round faces should opt for oblong/rectangle styles with slim frames, the oblong frames will help to balance the width of your face. Slimmer frames will avoid adding any bulk to your small face.
Square face: Try to choose glasses that have a softer, slightly rounded appearance, this will help to soften an angular face. Avoid very thick frames as these tend to be square and sharp. Try oval shapes or softer styles like that.
Heart shapes face: Go for fairly slim frames with a narrow shape, frames that graduate in colour and get darker on the bottom will look great on your face and help to even out the wider part of your face.
Oval: If you are lucky enough to have an oval face then you can wear most styles and frames without any trouble. Try oblong/rectangle with noticeable frames to give your face some definition.
Long face: Try oblong/rectangle shapes with thicker frames, make sure the frames come slightly out from your temple, this will help to balance the width of your face. Avoid oval or rounded shapes as these lack definition.

Thanks for the information. I don't currently wear prescription glasses, but I do need new sunglasses this summer.
Badcompany is right, pictures would add so much, and they would help to increase your traffic.
