How to do 1980's eye make up
By 3cardmonte
The eighties are a time that some of us will remember with fondness, some of us will remember with horror and some of us just don’t want to remember, I believe that it depends on how many pictures there are of you!
With the rise in popularity of 80’s themed parties, the 80’s look is making a costume party comeback!
The type of make up worn in the 1980’s really depended on the age of the wearer, the younger generation seemed to adopt the more dramatic, flamboyant approach, the older generation kept the drama but kept it “grown up”
Teenage/Dramatic
You will need
Powder foundation
Loose powder
Blusher
Black eyeliner
Eyeshadow in an assortment of colours
Red, pink or orange lipstick.
Apply your powder foundation, make sure your bring it all the way down the neck and blend to the collarbone. Set with a generous dusting of loose powder.
Line your top eyelid close to your lashes, do the same with the bottom. The Two lines should meet to form a gentle point.
Apply a pale eyeshadow such as white to your browbone and blend.
Apply a bright colour such as blue or fuchsia to your eyelid and blend with another bright colour like green or orange, you can really go to town on this and use some seriously great colours!
Apply black eyeshadow across the top of your eyelid and blend it slightly outwards, bring it across so it meet with the eyeliner point.
Apply mascara, apply one coat, allow it to dry and then apply another. Coat both sets of lashes, upper and lower.
Apply blusher, be generous and apply it to your cheekbones, not the apples of your cheeks, sweep it upwards.
Line your lips in a colour that matches the lipstick, and fill it in with a colour like bright pink, fire engine red or orange, blot with a tissue, then re apply.
Grown ups:
For an equally dramatic, but much more sophisticated look you will need:
Powder foundation
Loose powder
Grey eyeshadow
Taupe eyeshadow
White eyeshadow
Bright red lipstick
Lipstick sealant
Mascara
Apply your powder foundation and apply loose powder to set, make sure it is not flaky, your skin should look matte and smooth.
Apply a grey eyeshadow all over the lid and blend into the crease; apply the white eyeshadow to the browbone and blend
Apply one coat of mascara, wait for it to dry and apply another, be sure to coat your upper and lower lashes.
Apply blusher with a large round brush, apply it to your cheekbones and slightly on the top of the apples of your cheeks, blend outwards and upwards.
Line your lips in a colour to match the lipstick, apply the colour all over the lip using a small lip brush, blot then re apply, finish with a clear sealant.

err, aquanet. That's what I meant to say...
I was looking around for information on best long lasting lipstick when I stumbled upon your lens. Personally I'd like to add that I think it’s important for us fashion and beauty conscious individuals to keep up with the current trends as not to fall behind, being self aware of the best options available on the market is not easy, but as the saying goes, ‘beauty is pain’.
