How to make your breasts look smaller

Less than 40 per cent of women in the UK are happy with their breast size, many women want smaller breasts.
For women with a smaller chest, having breasts that are “too big” does not seem like it would be a problem. But for many women it causes a great deal of complication and also gets a great deal of unwanted attention!
There are quite a few things that you can do to reduce the appearance of your breasts.
Minimise.
A minimising bra will dramatically reduce the appearance of your bust, they press the chest down without leaving unsightly lumps and bumps. They do need to be fitted professionally though, if the bra does not fit properly, the effect will be lost.
Regular bra.
According to a study performed by a leading lingerie outlet in the UK, 80 per cent of women are wearing the wrong size bra.
An ill fitting bra will make your breasts look unsightly and even bigger than they actually are. Very often, women are wearing a bra that it too small in both the band size and the cup size, this results in the breasts being squashed by the bra and they look bigger and they also look an odd shape. Or the bra does not come up high enough and the breasts seem to be cut in half giving the look of having 2 breasts on each cup.
Get yourself fitted by a professional, you will be surprised at what size you actually are and you will not only flatter your bust size, but you will also look thinner!
Tops:
Steer well clear of high necks, polo necks, turtle necks and cowl necks, these will all increase the size of your breasts and give them a shelf like appearance.
Stick with deep V necks, these elongate your neck and they flatter the size of your chest, you can wear a small top underneath if you need to cover up. Also low scoop necks and square necks come down nice and low and will flatter your bust.
Avoid any fussy details around the chest area when it comes to tops and blouses, this means no frills, flowers, busy patterns or buttons.
Shirts.
Many women need to wear a shirt for work and if you have a large bust then this can be tricky, particularly if you have a small frame but a big chest. If this is the case then you need to buy your shirt big enough to fit your bust and have it taken in everywhere else. Or you could buy a shirt that fits everywhere else and leave it open with a top underneath if this is appropriate for your workplace.
If you have a bust that is proportionate to the rest of your frame then make sure that your shirt fits well, leave a couple of buttons undone if you can, but obviously don’t go flashing too much flesh.
Jewellery.
Many women tend to overlook jewellery as something that can flatter their figure, but the little details can really make a big difference.
If you have a larger bust, avoid ultra long necklaces, fashionable as they might be, they do not hang properly on large breasts. Stick with necklaces that stop low down on the collarbone, just above your breasts.

I hate my boobs!!! They are so big!!! All my friends have smaller ones than me. It really knocks my confidence. I do lots of danceing and we have to wear leotards. I don't like going because I am afraid people will laugh at me but my mum forces me.
Hi you guys. In answer to your question Maddie it is ok to wear your necklaces with a V neck.
And I feel for you Sophie, I used to be a dancer and it can feel really embarassing. But you can get leotards with built in support to help.

Only if you think it would be best for you. Talk it out with the surgeons, they will tell you what is best for you. My friend is going through the same thing at the moment and I hopee it woks out for you. x
hi how do you identify the size for a minimizer bra..
Am a teenager and i hate my boobs.am slim and they are huge.i mostly wear t shirts or hoods.i hate them.
The size for a minimizer is normally the same as your normal bra but they vary so you need to try them on.

I am 14 and I'm alright with the size of my breasts but they are bigger than most of my friends' and people do notice. For me it depends what I'm wearing and if it exaggerates my chest area or not I also dance;involving a lot of jumping around I wear a little sports bra underneath my tops on the days I go dancing to make them appear a bit smaller and not move around so much.

I'm 15 and I'm a 30H. Also I'm only 5"1 so it makes them look even bigger! I absolutely hate the weight of them and all the unwanted attention I get. I have an older sister who's only a B cup and my mum is only a C, so I just don't know where it comes from! I do have a 12 year old sister who has only just started secondary school and she is an E cup, so she'll probably be the same as me when she's my age. I want a breast reduction so so much, but my mum doesn't want me going through surgery. I know I should just accept what I've got, but I never thought having big boobs could make me so unhappy. I know how you feel. I'm much, much older than you, but I can relate. I'm 5'2" and a little overweight, but not a lot, and I'm a 32 H. I hate it too. It's hard to buy tops, dresses and swimsuits that look good. It's also hard to dress a little sexy and not look sleezy. My older sister had breast reduction surgery. She looks good, but it is not an easy thing to go through. Recovery was tough and painful for quite a long time. This made me think twice about having it myself. I also know two ladies who've had this surgery years ago and are very happy. I think my sister is happy now, but this truly is a major surgey with a long recovery. For now I'll just try to focus on my favourite features and try to dress to accentuate them. I'm not worrying anymore that people are noticing my large breasts. Everyone has something about their body they don't like. As long as you are not dressing like you want to show them off, then people are just being rude! Love yourself!
Hi my breasts r larger than most other girls and my friends make fun of me for it it's awful and also the other day I was running in pe and noticed some boys next to me looking and discussing how "uncomfortable" it would be I wanted to dye. All my friends could pass for a boy with the size of their boobs and they all like to do active things like dancing sports and swimming. I'm 16 and wear a size E. It can be embarassing. My frame is small but I have big breasts. To us teenagers who do have big breast, EMBRACE them! I've gotton made fun so much because of them but that's not going to stop me! Obviously the ones who say hurtful things about me, really just feel bad about themselves!
hi im 16 and im a DD although i think i might be going on to an E. is awsful and i sometimes wish that they where smaller. i went on this sight because i felt insecure about them but after reading everones story we all seem to be simlar ages. i think now we may hate them but soon lets hope we grow into them. these breasts make us who we are. they make us inderviduals and i think we should be proud of them. my mom always tells me that im lucky and people always want what they cant have.be proud of them girls. its ur body and ur perfict the way u are and dont let anybody tell u different.
im 16 and a 30E but i only wear size 6-8 clothes..i hate having big boobs; it can be embarrassing, especially when doing PE or dancing, but if you wear support bras it helps alot. my boyfriend loves my figure and my friends are all jealous, so at the end of the day you just have to embrace your figure because it's what makes you, you!
You shouldn't let anyone make you feel bad about the way you look. Nobody deserves to be made to feel bad because of something like that. REmember that no matter what size you are or anything like that, beauty is only skin deep. And if people make fun of you then you know that that is as far as it goes, the skin. The inside of them is not good.

Don't hate your body, you've only got one. There is nothing wrong with having big boobs at all. I used to get teased so much for having them, but I just ignored those people.

There is no reason you cannot wear a beautiful dress! But if you are feeling uncomfortable, try a minimizer bra, this will make your breasts look at least two sizes smaller.

I'm 12 and from the U.S.A. I have big chest compared to others in my class. A few boys have made some comments about my "coconuts". I just ignore them. But, sometimes I feel embarrassed with all these girls making comments because they are just jealous. I can't help it! It's genetic! I'll just have to embrace it I assume.
