How to stop hands from aging

Stop your hands from aging
My beauty therapy teacher once told me that when it comes to anti aging, whatever you do to your face, you need to do to your hands too. This includes anti aging creams, exfoliating etc. Your hands tell an even more vivid story about who you are than your face does because your hands do most of the work (just imagine what your feet would say about you!)
Washing: Choose a gentle handwash, one that contains ingredients such as cocoa butter, milk or honey. These natural ingredients will help to protect your hands. Try and avoid harsh ingredients like lemon and orange, they smell nice but they have a very drying effect on the skin.
Use warm water and do not scrub at your hands, use plenty of handwash and gently rub your hands together for about 30 seconds and rinse thoroughly.
Moisturise:
Every time you wash your hands, you should moisturise up to your wrists, ideally, you should use the same anti aging moisturiser for your hands as you do your face, if this is not practical or affordable, use an intensive moisturiser and apply whilst your hands are still warm and damp, this will help the moisturiser to sink in faster and deeper.
Exfoliate:
Your hands accumulate just as many dead skin cells as your face, particularly the back of your hands and around the sides of your fingers. Use a small grained exfoliants, wet your hands with warm water and gently rub in small circles, rinse thoroughly. An excellent tip for dry hands is to pour a large amount of honey into your hands, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and rub together, the sugar will exfoliate your hands and the honey will act as a moisturiser.
Ant aging cream:
Apply anti aging cream in small, gentle circular motions. You should apply this to your hands whenever you apply it to your face.
And, of course always wear sunscreen!
Keep your hands young

thanks badco, cindyvine strong hands are good, but rough dry hands?
My mother-in-law used Nivea cream her whole life, and she had the most beautiful skin, even at her passing at age 86.
Any way to prevent the veins from becoming more pronounced? I've seen that on a lot of older women and it looks awful.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Nivea cream is a very popular choice! There are some ways that are said to reduce the visiblity of veins in hands and leg 600mg of horse chestnut a day is meant to be the most effective, aloe vera juice a pill called Pycnogenol. Also soaking bandages with apple cider vinegar and wrapping them around the hand is said to work.
You're welcome.
Those are very interesting options, I've never heard of them before. Where do you buy these things? It would be great to try.
You can buy horsechestnut from health food shops or pharmacies, apple cider vinegar from health food shops or supermarkets.Pycnogel, i believe you have to get from a doctor. Also, try fake tanning the back of the hands, this will make them less noticeable.
Great! Thanks for the info, I appreciate it :)
